Auburn woman rescinds Alabama Supreme Court appeal, leaving home of 60+ years

A legal battle that has been going on for almost 18 years is finally nearing the end as Corine Woodson has reached a settlement agreement with Cleveland Brothers Inc. and she will be leaving her home of over 60 years.

As part of the settlement, Woodson’s appeal to the Alabama Supreme Court for a right to purchase the land that contains her home of 60+ years has been rescinded, meaning the sale for division will move forward. Woodson’s attorney Jacy Fisher said that she does not want the decision to be perceived as simply settling, insisting that the settlement agreement was a great deal for Corine.
